As the Indian electric vehicle (EV) industry continues to surge, electric two-wheelers are paving the path forward, making up half of all EV sales in 2023. With their affordable initial prices and reduced running costs, electric two-wheelers are capturing the attention of environmentally conscious riders. Automobile manufacturers are also busy developing electric versions of their traditional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) two-wheelers. In 2024, expect to see a wave of new electric scooter models hitting the market. Here’s a glimpse of what’s to come:
Honda Activa Electric: Following the success of its ICE version, Honda is gearing up to electrify its iconic Activa scooter in 2024. Retaining its original design, this electric model boasts an estimated range of 100 km and a top speed of 60 km/hr. Lectrix EV LXS G 3.0: Featuring a potent 2200-watt motor, the Lectrix EV LXS G 3.0 achieves speeds of 60 km/h and covers 80-105 km on a single charge.
